About Randy Mekdara, LPCC

As Asian men, many of us were taught to work hard, stay humble, and handle our struggles on our own. While these values can be strengths, they can also leave us feeling stressed, anxious, disconnected, or wondering if we're ever doing enough. I work with Asian men who are tired of overthinking, struggling with confidence, or feeling like no matter what they

accomplish, it's never quite enough.

I believe therapy isn't about fixing you, it's about helping you better understand yourself and reconnect with the parts of you that may have been pushed aside along the way. Using a culturally responsive, insight-oriented approach, I help clients navigate anxiety, self-worth, identity, relationships, and life transitions with greater clarity and confidence.

Together, we'll create a space where you can slow down, make sense of what you're carrying, and build a stronger sense of self that isn't dependent on achievement or other people's expectations.

What if I’ve never been to therapy before?

That’s completely okay. Many people start without knowing what to expect. My job is to guide you through the process, help you feel comfortable, and move at a pace that feels right for you.

Do you offer online sessions?

Yes. I am a fully online based therapy practice. I offer secure, confidential online therapy to anyone within California, so you can meet from the comfort of your own space no commute, no hassle.

Is everything we talk about confidential?

Yes. Everything you share in therapy is kept private and confidential. The only exceptions are rare situations required by law, such as if there’s a risk of harm to yourself or others, or if a child, elder, or dependent adult is being abused. I’ll always explain these limits clearly so you understand exactly how your information is protected.

How long will therapy take?

It depends on what you’re working through and what you hope to get out of therapy. Some people come for a few months to work on a specific issue, while others stay longer for deeper, ongoing work. We’ll check in regularly to make sure therapy is helping you move toward the change you want.

Do you accept insurance?

I am considered an out-of-network provider and currently do not accept Insurance. However, I can provide a Superbill for clients if needed.

How much are sessions?

Sessions are $160 per session
